We are 70 STEPS

70 STEPS is a production company based in Stuttgart, Germany, developing and (co-)producing fiction and documentary to explore unique perspectives. Their current slate includes projects by breakout filmmakers as well as established directors, from Germany and beyond. Be it upcoming Anti-War feature “Thousand Yard Stare” by Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir; Golden Globe Winner), the trans-cultural lovestory “She Makes and Unmakes” (Jonas Bak, Wood and Water; Berlinale '21), Payal Sethis Debut Feature “Kurinji” (Berlinale Talents Kompagnon Fellowship, Goa Film Bazaar Award) or Uta Berias “Tear Gas” (2 WIP Awards, IFFR ’25) – the focus is always on strong artistic expression audiences around the world will be drawn to.

Daniel Tenné

Daniel graduated from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in International Producing, he is an Alumnus of the International Screen Institute and the UCLA Extension. He participated in programs such as the Documentary Campus ('21), EAVEs 'Ties That Bind' ('24/'25) or ACE Producers Training Days ('25). Daniel is a certified Green Consultant and Member of the German Independent Producers Guild PROG. He has a dog and is an avid reader of Science-Fiction.

Junus Baker

Junus studied production at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, specializing in tv-series. During his studies, he primarily focused on the content of films and series, which led to awards from RTL and SAT1. As a creative producer and writer, he works with young writers to develop compelling genre stories with current and emotional themes. His goal is to create "great cinema for television."
